At around the age of 25yrs the body stops producing collagen and elastin, the two main proteins that work to keep tissue firm and skin elastic. Without these two proteins the existing collagen begins to break down and displays the typical signs of ageing. Lines start to appear and volume is lost.
Anti-ageing facial dermal fillers are a non-surgical solution to achieving your more youthful skin providing a natural looking rejuvenated appearance by smoothing out lines and wrinkles, or adding definition and volume to the lips and cheeks.
Fillers used at Primrose Aesthetics are Hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring molecule found in the skin and soft tissue. It attracts and binds with water in the skin, providing volume and hydration providing instant results.

Dermal filler injections enhance and add definition to the face. These procedures may be desirable either to improve definition or lost volume to lift the mid face – rejuvenation or to enhance features.
Lines can be filled around the nose and mouth which can give a more youthful appearance.
The filler used is Hyaluronic Acid with Lignocaine as a numbing agent.

There are many reasons why lips can benefit from enhancement, simply a more plump fuller lip appearance or correction of loss due to the natural process of ageing resulting in the lips becoming thinner. This volume can be replaced giving a natural rejuvenated look. Some lips are asymmetrical, for example the top lip may be thinner than the bottom and requires balancing. This process may also be ideal for those clients that experience the ‘smokers’ lines around the mouth, and in this case just the border of the lip can be rejuvenated without affecting the volume.
The lips can be a little more sensitive so numbing cream is applied prior to treatment. A full consultation is carried out prior to the procedure to agree the plan and fully understand the clients expectations.
