Also known as micro-needling, Collagen Induction Therapy is a non-invasive and highly effective rejuvenation treatment aimed at stimulating the production of collagen and elastin deep beneath the skin, resulting in a renewed, plumped, and glowing appearance with fine lines and wrinkles visibly reduced.

You will have a full facial to cleans the tone the skin, then a pen device is used to make micro injuries to the skin to kick start the body’s own repair, specialist serums are used infuse the skin to hydrate and stimulate the repair cells.

CIT can be applied to other parts of the body – not just the face.  

Microscopic perforations are made to the skin using a small handheld machine. It contains a single-use super fine 16 or Nano-needle head cartridge (about the size of a 5p coin). These perforations force the skin to react and repair them. As it repairs them, it produces collagen and as we all know, collagen is responsible for the firmness and smoothness of our skin.

After CIT, you may appear a little sun-kissed for 48 hours. This is normal and your skin may feel sensitive to the touch. Be gentle with your skin and treat it only with cool water and a gentle cleanser.

From 2 to 3 days after the treatment, the affected area is likely to peel. This is due to the rejuvenated skin cells coming through. Don’t pick or scratch!

For these initial few days you’ll also want to avoid any activity that causes excess sweating – so that rules out HIIT sessions in the gym, saunas etc.

The process takes a 4 week cycle to repair its self, you then have another treatment. following each treatment you should see some but slight changes in skin appearance and texture.

 Yes, you can go back to work after having the  treatments. In fact, most people do just that! You will have some redness and associated with the treatment. This is usually gone within a few days 

It’s important not to wear make-up for at least 24 hours. but it is essential to wear a sun screen of > 30 

Staying out of the sun is important. You should also avoid the following:

• Applying skin care products or makeup for the next 24 hours
• Rubbing or massaging the treatment area 
• Doing strenuous exercise that potentially can make you hot and sweaty
• Going into saunas, spas, hot and steamy environment 
• Using retin-A, alpha hydroxy or glycolic acids on your skin
